4pm Sanctuary is an hour to find some stillness and space to reflect on everything that is going on in your life. Each month we will have a time of singing, talking, reflecting and listening.

Welcome to 4pm Sanctuary
Canterbury Cathedral has always been a place of sanctuary where everyone is welcome, and all can find a place of belonging and safety.
4pm Sanctuary is an hour set aside for you to encounter the stillness of this holy place and reflect.
We have loosely given each time together a theme to focus our reflections. These are:
- New beginnings: Being before myself
- Friends: Being before others
- Encounter: Being before God
- We end the term with the Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU) Carol Service in the Cathedral.
The event is run by Dave Stroud from CCCU Chaplaincy and Emma Pennington, Canon of Canterbury Cathedral, plus students and you.
We warmly invite you to come along and experience this sacred time of prayer in a holy place.
