From September 2023, membership of our Boys’ Choir will be open to children from any school, mirroring the pattern we have established with our Girls’ Choir; the Boys' and Girls' Choirs will each sing at three services per week. 

The Archbishop of Canterbury, The Most Revd Justin Welby, has conferred upon The Very Revd Dr Robert Willis the title of Dean Emeritus of Canterbury, in recognition of his lifetime of ministry.

On Saturday 17 December, the Cathedral hosted the Installation Service for the new Dean of Canterbury, the Very Rev’d Dr David Monteith.

A major new exhibition in Canterbury Cathedral’s Crypt allows visitors to explore up close, for the first time, a unique collection of artefacts – including the battle shield, gauntlets and jupon of medieval warrior Edward The Black Prince, and fragments of Thomas Becket’s shrine – that tell the complex, and often violent, story of Church-State relations.
