Discover the Beasts of the Bayeux!

The Bayeux Tapestry has returned to the UK for the first time in 950 years, and is currently on display at the British Museum.

This 70-meter Medieval masterpiece is thought to have been made by embroiderers in Canterbury. But did you know that the Bayeux Tapestry features over 750 animals?

This half term, young explorers are invited to follow the Cathedral Creature Trail to discover animals depicted in stone and stained, have a go at embroidering their own beast of the Bayeux Tapestry, and more…

Half term activities are included free with a valid Cathedral Admission Ticket, Cathedral Pass or Friends’ Card. Kids go FREE every day! (T&Cs apply); does not apply to group bookings or school visits.

Gregory and Peti’s Creature Trail

Between 24 October - 1 November, during opening hours

Discover hidden creatures depicted in stone and stained glass, as you explore the Cathedral.

You can also marvel at miraculous stained glass up close with our new free-to-view exhibition - Smashed, Bombed, Lost - Recovered.
