FREE ‘Back to School’ Event
Whether your child is starting school for the first time or transitioning into their next school year, this event offers a truly unique and unforgettable experience for all the family to enjoy!
Participate in a fun musical workshop with members of the Cathedral’s Music Department, followed by a joyful talk with a blessing, and make your own personalized bookmark - an absolute ‘back to school’ essential.
All children attending the event will also be given a special Canterbury Cathedral bag tag to take away with them (kindly sponsored by the Friends of Canterbury Cathedral.)
From 10:00-12:30 Make your own bookmark
10:30-10:55 Musical workshop
11:10-11:30 Joyful talk and blessing
Free event - booking is preferred but not essential.
Bring a picnic to enjoy in one of the many gardens and green spaces, or you can get some tasty treats from the Cathedral Lodge Lounge or Cathedral Shop, both of which feature some of Kent’s finest artisanal food and drink producers.
All are welcome to attend this multi-faceted event, however it is best suited to families with children between ages 4-11. Please note accompanying adults must remain with their children at all times, children must not be left unattended during any segment of the event.
