French Church

In 1685, 200,000 French Protestants fled to England to escape persecution in Catholic France. Many settled in Canterbury where there was already a French community and a church.

Today, their descendants still worship, in French, every Sunday at 15.00 hrs in the Huguenot Chapel in the Cathedral’s Crypt. All are welcome.
