Canterbury Cathedral is proud to announce the release of our brand new Online Learning Resources! These pages offer curriculum-linked, interactive resources and activities for learning in the classroom. They are also an invaluable resource for preparing for and supporting a school visit to Canterbury Cathedral, as well as an insight into the Cathedral’s history and mission for children aged 5 to 14, no matter where they are in the world!
Developed alongside Everything Connected by The Canterbury Journey team and our Schools Department, they feature colourful illustrations as well as PDF activity sheets that can be downloaded and used alongside the web resource. Jan Leandro, Head of Learning and Participation, said “The Online Learning Resources are part of a brand new suite of learning, interpretation and engagement activities, funded by the National Heritage Lottery Fund, the Friends of Canterbury and other stakeholders. These resources will open up access to the Cathedral, it’s rich heritage and extraordinary world class collections that tell the story of the Cathedral. We’d like to thank the community and our partners for working with us to help develop and deliver this new offer at Canterbury Cathedral”. These resources can also be used alongside our Loan Box scheme. Loan Boxes and outreach sessions are available to schools and community groups in all areas.
