Nominated for award

The Cathedral’s Great South Window has been nominated for a regional 2018 RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) award.

The window had to be rebuilt and hundreds of new stones carved by the Cathedral’s stonemasons after problems were identified with its structure.

The RICS awards recognise the most innovative projects and their impact on local communities. The Cathedral window is on a shortlist of 11 organisations in the running for an award in the building conservation category.
