‘Keep the memory Alive’ Holocaust Memorial Day
12.30 Tuesday 27 January,
Eastern Crypt, Canterbury Cathedral.
20 minutes of led reflection – readings, silence, prayers.
Remembering all who suffered in the Holocaust,
in the genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Darfur and Bosnia.
Asking the questions – What causes human beings to hate; to seek to destroy others; to look at people and fail to see our common humanity?
Praying for peace, for tolerance, for a willingness to respect and honour the other, when they are not like us.
