University of Kent Chamber Choir Annual Concert

A new chamber edition by Michael Higgins of Fauré’s Requiem releases anew its radiant harmonies, set amidst the backdrop of the Cathedral’s evocative Eastern Crypt.

Daniel Harding and Douglas Haycock will conduct the concert which will also include works by Purcell, Warlock, Lassus Alexander Campkin and Alec Roth. The concert presents fragments of dreams, desire, loss, dance, beauty and sleep, culminating in a tranquil vision of redemption and eternal rest in Paradise.

This concert is in memory of David Humphreys who died in December 2015, and who generously sponsored this concert each year in memory of his wife, Julia.
