Lunchtime Summer Song Recital – L’Espange

L’Espange – Song Recital

Cathedral Choral Scholar Harry Swanson, Bass, will perform our final Summer Song Recital. The programme of music will explore the links between France and Spain, featuring songs by Manuel de Falla, Puccini and Ravel.

Harry recently graduated from Clare College, Cambridge, where he has held a Choral Award for the duration of his undergraduate degree.

He has performed in concerts, gigs and services across the world, a few highlights being St John’s Smith Square, the Royal Festival Hall, the Pantheon, Notre Dame Cathedral, Barcelona Cathedral, La Sagrada Familia and Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club

He was a finalist in the Association of English Singers and Speakers’ Catherine Lambert Junior Recital Prize 2017, giving a recital of Britten, Quilter and Finzi interspersed with readings of Shakespeare and William Blake; this saw him win the Marian Lines Speech Prize. More recently, he reached the semi-final of the Clare College Song Competition 2021 with programmes of Wolf, Ibert, Gurney, and Richard Rodney Bennett.

These lunchtime recitals are unticketed and free to attend, however please note that usual precinct charges apply.
