The Story of the Canterbury Catch Club: illustrated lecture

The Story of the Canterbury Catch Club: illustrated lecture

This lecture will focus on the Canterbury Catch Club, a gentlemen’s music club active in Canterbury in the 18th and 19th centuries, whose music collection and archives are held in the Cathedral Archives and Library. The Catch Club’s story will be told by staff of Canterbury Christ Church University, with music performed by Cantuar, and a capella group of five Cathedral lay Clerks. This promises for an entertaining and informative evening!

The lecture will be held in the Cathedral Archives (access via the Cloisters). Admission is free but seating is limited and you are advised to book.
