The Old Choristers' Association

Clive Pare Memorial Fund

The Fund was established in 1978 in memory of Clive Frederick Pare, a much loved Headmaster of the Cathedral Choir School, Canterbury from 1937 to September 1963 when he was appointed a Canon of Gloucester Cathedral until his death in 1973. The Fund's governing instrument is a Trust Deed dated 18 March 1981 and it is registered with the Charity Commission with No. 282317.

OBJECTS

The Charity's purpose is to provide for the advancement of education of any person who is or has been a Chorister of or admitted as a singing boy in the Choir of Canterbury Cathedral by the granting of scholarships or other grants to assist any such person in undertaking any course at any school, college, university, conservatoire or training establishment in the United Kingdom or
elsewhere.

POLICIES AND ORGANISATION

The trustees welcome applications for grants from former members of the Choir. The Hon. Secretary receives grant applications as well as dealing with other correspondence. The trustees normally meet once a year but consult with each other when necessary. The Fund's accounts are maintained by the Hon. Treasurer of CCOCA, with which the Fund is closely affiliated.

HOW TO APPLY FOR GRANTS

The Honorary Secretary is pleased to help all Old Choristers with their application for grants and welcomes telephone enquiries. It should be noted that to progress with an application for a grant, a formal written application is required.
